Who we are

The Emerging Payments Association is a thriving community of payments

professionals whose goals are to strengthen and expand the payments

industry to benefit all stakeholders.

Advisory Board

Advisory Board members are nominated and elected to the board based upon their ability to

lead and influence the payments industry. Members of the Advisory Board are both nominated

and voted on by the members of the EPA and serve a term of three years.

What does an EPA Advisory Board member do?

            • Attend all Advisory Board meetings throughout the year
            • Contribute ideas and views relating to the strategy and priorities of the group
            • Contribute content and input to papers produced for regulators, press releases, case studies
            • Work diligently together outside meetings on agreed projects, and if appropriate, mentor one of the EPA’s projects
            • Introduce new prospective members to join the EPA
            • Use their Advisory Board membership to endorse their company’s brand
            • Talk positively about the work done by the industry and the group
            • Represent EPA at industry conferences and events.
            • Provide guidance when required to EPA members

board is to provide guidance and recommendations to assist EPA Asia in being the peak body

for the APAC payments community.

Andy White

John Ryan

Founder of PayEd – Education in Payments

John is a co-founder of EPA Asia, and is a qualified Management
Accountant with over 25 years of wide ranging fintech experience in
capital markets and investor communications. He held many roles, but
mainly as regional Asia Pacific strategy head, and now runs PayEd.

Steven Xavier Chan

Senior regulatory and government affairs executive with years of experience conducting international trade, economic and public policy, and in government and industry advocacy.

Camilla Bullock

CEO and Co-Founder EPA Asia

Camilla is the CEO and the co-founder of Emerging Payments Association Asia. Her role is to bring together the different participants in the value chain of payments for collaboration. The core of the EPAA activities is policy and advocacy to enhance the industry. Camilla has a long career in the financial technology industry, starting in London in early 2000 working for Reuters (today LSEG) and often talks about coming home when she started her work in the payments industry. Payments is the part of the financial service that touches peoples lives every day, and through EPA Asia work lives can be improved. The payments industry offered her an opportunity to combine her passion for fintech and humanitarian questions.

Jan McGrath

An experienced leader with a diverse global background in product and delivery management, credit card issuing and technologies, retail banking, business transformation, program management, productivity, risk management and vendor management.

Proudly person-focused; engages people to deliver a tailored, comprehensive strategy focusing on business growth, operational efficiency, performance and improved customer experiences.

 

Nigel Lee

Global Exco Member and SVP Asia Pacific – Ingenico (Worldline)

Nigel sits on the Global Executive Committee for Ingenico and leads the Asia Pacific business. Prior to joining Ingenico Nigel was an Operating Partner at APIS a Global Emerging Markets PE Firm focused on Financial Services. With over 25 years in financial services and fintech, he has held Senior Executive roles in major players across the industry landscape including American Express, Moneygram and FirstData. He also acts as Board Advisor to startups in the Fintech Space. Nigel is based in Singapore.

 

May Lam

Carrie Suen

Senior Advisor at Ant Group|IFLR APAC Outstanding Leader

Carrie Suen is the Senior Advisor at Ant Group, where she is responsible to drive our global strategies and thought leadership of Ant’s international policy objectives to bring more inclusive, green and sustainable changes to the ecosystem.

Carrie is a seasoned lawyer and has experience in wide range of subject matters ranging from fintech regulatory, corporate governance, M&A, equity offerings to listed companies compliance. Since joining Ant in 2014, Carrie has been at the forefront of the global digital payment and regulatory development, where she accumulated practical insight of the market pain points. Carrie has been involved in regular direct communications and dialogues with regulators/government and international organizations such as the WEF, to help shape the policy landscape globally. Under her leadership, Ant’s International Legal team grew fourfold from 2017-2020, supporting over 100 markets/regions.  

 

 

Katie Mitchell

-Rowing on our world’s rivers and lakes (I was a dual-sport Division 1 athlete in volleyball and rowing and later competed as an elite rower training alongside members of the US National Team)

Alissa Davies

Alissa is a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Business School. During her MBA Summer internship she worked for Google. She studied History at Magdalen College, University of Oxford. After graduating from Oxford, she interned at the F.W. de Klerk Foundation in South Africa and studied Mandarin at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
